Where is all the Dúné fic, you guys? WHY AM I DENIED SUCH AWESOMENESS? Seriously though there should be a bajillion fics about them all being in love BECAUSE THEY ARE. And like I shouldn't have to write them all. D:

Also there should be a lot of fic about Piotrek because he is my favourite EVEN THOUGH I don't have a favourite because they are ALL my favourites. Ok? :D

Today at lunchtime Ishtar said, "I'm beginning to think they can do no wrong." To which I replied, "Of course they can't! It's Dúné!"

In other words. NEW DÚNÉ ALBUM OH MY FREAKING GOD. *runs around*

And now I am going to use a lot more words to flail and semi-review it. Mostly flail though, because this is Dúné and me we're talking about. :D

It is actually Savage Garden! (Well, they are Australian, what did you expect?) And, because I am so cool, I got into them because my mother was into them! I've been listening to them since probably sometime in the late 90's; at least, I can remember listening to them then. (Which is pretty good! I wasn't even a teenager then!)

AND. oh my god. I just reliased something. THEY'RE NOT. I've been listening to Sophie B. Hawkins for longer! But. To be fair, it took me ages to work out that she was queer, whereas with Savage Garden, it. Didn't.

And because that was actually a really boring answer, I'm going to answer another one! \o/

If you were to create the ultimate queer 4-piece band, which musicians would you choose? Why?

ALRIGHT.

Vocals: Sophie B. Hawkins. Because she is wonderful and obviously, has an amazing voice.

Bass: Stefan Olsdal, LIKE IT COULD BE ANYONE ELSE. The man is unashamedly fabulous.

Piano: Patrick Wolf. He would bring a very ~odd vibe to the band, which is what all good queer bands need. Plus he can play other instruments too. And wouldn't a duet between him and Sophie be WONDERFUL? Yes, yes it would.

Vocals AND guitar: Missy Higgins! Every good band needs a hot talented Australian.
